Hi, I'm Bvngee!
Who?
An aspiring programmer / software dev, Linux & neovim enthusiast, NixOS addict, and technical Minecrafter.
I also occasionally leave my room to mountain bike, play tennis, and enjoy the sun :P
I use the name Bvngee on the internet.
I'm currently 17, soon to start Computer Science @ UCSC (co28, JRLC)!
What?
Some projects and things:
- My NixOS config: a journey into Linux, learning how computers and OSs work from the bottom up, and my decent into madness trying to build the perfect dev environment
- This website! Written and hosted completely from scratch (using only Astro, nginx, and some bash). No preexisting integrations/deployments, manual SSL, etc (see this blog post). Learning a little about how the web works, the fun way :)
- Coordinate Mod and Anti Auto Jump: my first two Minecraft mods, at somewhere around 15k total downloads (released in 2020)
- BvngeeAddons: my personal set of client-side mods for Minecraft (screenshot helper, improved boss bar rendering, etc) - never uploaded publicly, yet my most polished mod Oracle SMP: my technical Minecraft server (redstone, perimeters, etc - all the nerdy stuff). Running since April 2021
- A bunch of other stuff (see GitHub): hackathons, AOCs, scripts, other Minecraft mods, and more
